Este artigo é resultado de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, com o objetivo geral de discorrer sobre o inconsciente e suas manifestações, bem como considerar o que é o tratamento psicanalítico e a direção de cura de uma análise. A fonte principal de pesquisas derivou dos escritos de Sigmund Freud, Elisabeth Roudinesco e Michel Plon, Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza, Leila Longo, Juan-David Nasio e Denise Maurano. Tais autores contribuíram para as ponderações e questionamentos levantados acerca da direção de cura em psicanálise e do método de tratamento psicanalítico. Além disso, foram abordados os temas referentes ao inconsciente e suas formações (ato falho, sonho, chiste e sintoma), à associação livre e à transferência, já que possuem papel fundamental na psicanálise. Pontuou-se que através da associação livre o acesso ao inconsciente torna-se possível na análise e que o discurso do analisando precisa ser endereçado, pela transferência, a um analista que ocupe um lugar de detentor de saber. Além disso, ponderou-se que a direção de cura do tratamento psicanalítico não sugere, necessariamente, uma remissão completa dos sintomas, mas, sim, a implicação e responsabilização do analisando com eles, de modo que viva e trabalhe bem.

Ainda mais, o texto que você pegou fala de autores da escola lacaniana, que tem uma linguagem própria e muito particular. importante se atentar para esses termos: direção do tratamento, desejo, etc. todos eles tem uma forma específica em inglês também
