| Reference: Algumas considerações Reference information: É importante salientar que o ensino médio no Brasil corresponde às 'High Schools' ou 'Secondary Schools' da América do Norte. Não creio que 'Intermediate' seja o termo correto. Outra coisa: aqui no Canadá, pelo que eu saiba, não existem escolas de referência (seja do ensino fundamental ou médio). O que existem são certas escolas que têm um foco específico. Por exemplo, em Toronto há uma high school para jovens de descendência Africana: https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/africentricschool/ (Africentric Alternative School) Há também uma escola só para estudantes LGBTQ: http://triangleprogram.ca/ Em Vitoria, British Columbia, há essa escola para atletas de elite que tem dificuldades em conciliar os treinos com a vida acadêmica: https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/africentricschool/ E várias outras com focos variados (artes, religião, línguas, deficiências físicas, meio ambiente, etc) Nenhuma dessas escolas proclama sua superioridade sobre as outras. Elas apenas atendem a grupos específicos de alunos, com necessidades e interesses específicos. Portanto, acho que não dá para traduzir com exatidão o termo 'escolas de referência'. A meu ver, a sugestão do Nick é a que chega mais perto. |
