'Significado de Protutor:
O protutor(figura criada no art. 1742 do cc/2002) é um auxiliar do juiz na fiscalização do tutor, e esse responde solidariamente com o tutor por eventuais danos causados ao pupilo.
O juiz de ofício ou a requerimento pode nomear, além do tutor, um protutor. Eventualmente, o juiz pode fixar remuneração em favor do protutor.
Exemplo do uso da palavra Protutor:
Um juiz nomeia uma pessoa A como tutor de um menor e para fiscalizar as ações deste nomeia B, ou seja, B é protutor com a função de fiscalizar o tutor A.'
