O texto dá a entender que o autor se refere a uma família, mas não existe família Filaceae. No entanto, não acho que se faria a referência a cariofiláceas somente como "filáceas" (o que quer dizer apenas que têm folhas). "Filaceous" quer dizer fibroso, quem sabe é por aí?
