Ze Wschodu wieziono przez Kraków na Hohe Strasse wosk, skóry, futra, czerwiec (barwnik do tkanin pozyskiwany z wysuszonych larw owadów – czerwi), które trafiały do Frankfurtu nad Menem i Norymbergi.

Tłumaczę tekst o Via Regii, znalaźłam, że ten owad nazywa się Junikäfer, gerippter Brachkäfer, czasami Schildlaus, ale nie mogę znaleźć odpowiednika tego barwnika.
