Polish to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Printing & Publishing / reklama

Czy można powiedzieć Fairs for Printing and POSM graphics? Albo POSM & Printing Fairs? Czy lepiej skrót rozwinąć? Czy w ogóle jest na ten druk reklamowy inne określenie? od razu dodam, ze Advertising/advertisement to zbyt pojemne pojęcie.

help :)

print advertising
Explanation:
Print advertising is one of the many forms of advertising (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising#Types_of_advertisin...

"If an advertisement is printed on paper, be it newspapers, magazines, newsletters, booklets, flyers, direct mail, or anything else that would be considered a portable printed medium, then it comes under the banner of print advertising."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insert_(print_advertising)

So perhaps:

Printing and Print Advertising Fair // Printing and Print Advertising Trade Fair

might work?

Quite apart from the references I've already given, the fact that this isn't tautological is confirmed, inter alia, by this:

http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?qwork=2687264

"Hearst Media Services is part of Hearst Corporation -- one of the nation’s largest diversified media companies. Its major interests include ownership of 15 daily and 38 weekly newspapers [...]

Specialties

Digital Advertising, Printing and Print Advertising, Social Media Consulting, Mobile Advertising"

And although 'targi' is plural, in English, it's 'fair' or 'trade fair', singular; the plural means more than one such event.

disagree  Caryl Swift: I very rarely comment on other answers when I've also answered. But 1) Printing and Advertising Fair is not a translation of the source term; 2) advertising is a very general concept. The source term refers to one particular aspect of advertising.

disagree  Mariusz Kuklinski: The proposition is too wide and ignores the specific medium of advertising in the case,

Print Advertising and the Printing Industry Fair

Explanation:
The source phrase is too narrow. POSM sounds a little too hermetic to me, as it is a sectoral jargon. And almost 7 million hits on Google for "print advertising" cannot all be wrong.
