on the latitude of Tarnów Explanation: That's what it means, technically speaking, IMVHO. Reference: http://tinyurl.com/z3vw2ba |

across the Wisła River from Tarnów Explanation: For the context as in the question only. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 godz. (2016-09-07 09:41:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I gave my agree to Dariusz but after a longer research decided to provide a reference as below and finally (thanks to M.A.B.) my own answer. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 godz. (2016-09-07 11:06:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- BTW: https://mapy.e-turysta.net/mazowieckie/przewoz-tarnowski/hol... - to my surprise, the map shows Stanstead St Margarets, a town/village(?) between Harlow and Hertford in the UK instead of a small village in Poland. Do not always believe to what the Web shows to your eyes. ;-) |

Reference: Holendry Magnuszewskie vs. Tarnów - that's a little complicated... Reference information: At present, Holendry Magnuszewskie is just a part of the village of Przewóz Tarnowski https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Przewóz_Tarnowski on the left (west) bank of the Wisła River, south-east from Warszawa (see the geographical coordinates). Holendry Magn. is not easy to locate in the maps. See http://mapcarta.com/13887752 . If you find the red mark in the middle of the river, then, the first white mark to the left (westbound) should indicate the actual location of Holendry Magn. Tarnów is another village, it's located on the right (east) Wisła bank, on road 801. See https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarnów_(województwo_mazowiecki... . Please note that as many as seven towns and villages are called Tarnów. Still, "na wysokości" was not used quite correctly by the autor of your text, I'm afraid. When you travel, you'll say "na wysokości Tarnowa" when you're passing (driving, flying) by Tarnów. IfI were the author, I'd rather say that Holendry Magn. is located across the Wisła River from Tarnów. |
