Pashto (Pushto) term or phrase: ترکشی
I am subtitling a documentary where Kandahari speakers used the word 'tarkashi' and 'tarkashian' when discussing fabric. Does this mean the cloth was made in Turkey. I have no come across the word 'tarkashi' used for 'Turkish' before. Is my guess correct or is this a word borrowed from Farsi? If from Farsi, would it make it sense to point to a piece of cloth and use the word 'tarkashi' somehow?

English translation:People who threads the machines
Explanation:
ؓIn textile mills the workers who adjust the fibers/threads in the first phase for the machines to operate on it are called "Tarkashyan" plural or "Tarkash" singular.

I think the word is used for those people.

Thanks
