Norwegian term or phrase: mediekjøkken
This is a room or laboratory, usually at a research institution or laboratory centre. One example: "Avdelingen har eget mediekjøkken og produserer sine dyrkningsmedier og reagenser selv...".
Does anyone know what this would be called in English?

If you want to check out Google, use "media kitchen" + bacteriological, for instance - or you will be drowned in media matters like www.themediakitchen.com

Yet again you prove that simplest is best, PM! This is apparently the accepted term in English, I've been told. Takk!

culturing room

Explanation:
I wonder if this might be the correct English term. "Media kitchen" is too literal.
I get a few hits on google by combining "culturing room" with "biological".
But I'm guessing a bit here... :-)

Notes to answerer
Asker: I think you're pointing in the right direction, Bill. I've just had another go with "cultivation laboratory", and that's looking like an even more likely candidate.
