Combine Explanation: This is a legacy term as there is no longer a Vilniaus "Dailės" kombinatas, but people continue to refer to its buildings by that name. The Communist term of "kombinat" (in Russian) used to be translated as "combine". Essentially, yes, a "kombinat" is a factory, especially a furniture or food combine, etc. For art, as in this case, "factory" would certainly be a rather ironic collocation, though. "Artist enterprise"? All depends on your target audience and what the text is about... Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combine_(enterprise) |

Vilnius Dailė group of enterprises Explanation: . -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2014-04-24 19:29:26 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- įmonė = enterprise, Įmonių susivienijimas = group of enterprises. Factory tikrai netinka. |

-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs (2014-04-24 22:42:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Viengubos UK, dvigubos USA, bet, kaip Inga pastebėjo ir kaip nurodo visokie style manuals, organizacijų pavadinimai rašomi be kabučių. |
