Vide infra Explanation: Another Iberian and Classical mix. In this instance, 'maestroi' is an old and attested form of the Iberian genitive reflex for classical Latin 'magistri', 'galanteador' is Spanish for 'flatterer, toady', and the whole almost certainly means 'the master's son (is) a toady', the copula 'est' ('is') being here omitted, as often in both Latin (and Greek) predicate nominatives. |
