Amidst a thick mist, the field subtly showed its grass-covered surface Explanation: Just an idea. グラウンドは、日本語では校庭やスポーツ競技場のフィールドを指す場合が多いので、上のように訳しました。 「霧に包まれていた」と言うだけで、その中で見た物はぼんやりしていたと想像できるので、あえて「ぼんやりと」は書く必要はないように思います。(上ではsubtly を使いました。) また、「グラウンド」が校庭や球場などと違い、いわゆる「範囲」のない「草の生えた地面」なら...the field showed its lush surface spreading far and wide とか言えると思います。一人称を使って、Amidst a thick mist, I could see ... とかも可能です。また、長くなりますが、 "The field was covered in a thick mist. Yet, it showed its lush surface spreading far and wide." 等とも表現できると思います。 |
