style over substance Explanation: Literally this is "a dandelion on sashimi. This is a work related expression where some jobs are "work putting dandelions on sashimi". These are jobs that make things look more artistic or appealing but in reality add very little of value. In this context I think "in the end this is more style over substance" would work. |
