Japanese term or phrase:

This is from a case report on anaesthesia management, dealing with an atrioventricular block.
If 否定的 is 'negative', is this just an awkward way of saying 'there was no significant decrease in cardiac output'?
The literal 'the significant decrease in cardiac output was negative' doesn't mean much to me. I can see a few other possiblities but nothing I'm very confident about.

significant decrease in heart output is not a possibility

Explanation:
I was just translating similar sentence myself. This is what I did.
If you want to use word "negative", then 'the **possibility of** significant decrease in cardiac output was negative'.
As you already know, academic people tend to use awkward expressions.
