Japanese term or phrase: 受託を行う
I'm little unclear about the meaning of this phrase in Japanese, which appears in a press release from a company announcing a future direction.

A社は、当社からの統計解析業務の受託を行い、A社のオフィスは、当社内の受託案件のプロジェクト管理等を担当します。

Does 受託を行うmean that ’A社’ will be outsourcing on behalf of '当社’, or, does it mean that 'A社’ will actually undertake the work themselves? (in other words, would you say that 'A社’ is the outsourced-to entity?)

I'll be very grateful if someone could clear this up for me! Thanks!

entrusted to carry out
Explanation:
I would say that A corp is being entrusted to carry out statistical analysis work on behalf of 当社. They would manage pojects for 当社 in their own (A corp's) office. A possible translation could be...

A Corp will be entrusted with carrying out our statistical analysis work...

Hope this helps :)
