Explanation: 受皿という言葉だけを見ると、fallback plan, backup plan だろうと思ったのですが、中身を読むとどうの意味が通じません。それぞれのファンドは独立して運営されているので、自分があるファンドのマネージャなり、アナリストだったら、それまでshareを漁っていたM&Aキャパの「バックアップ」がバイアウト?って、どうも変なのです。 この受皿は、辞書にある「引き継ぐための態勢」の意味ではないでしょうか。 http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/leaf/jn/14978/m0u/受皿/ つまり、それまで優勢だったM&Aが冷めてきたお陰で、それまで先を越されて受け身になっていたバイアウトファンドやファンド会社に機会が転がり込んできた、分け前をもっと受けられるようになるだろう、ということではないでしょうか。 特に訳さなくてもいいかなあ、とまで思ったぐらいですが、一応雰囲気を残して、open up opportunities を突っ込んでみました。 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2009-06-24 20:41:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 書いた後で気が付いたのですが、「お鉢が回ってきた」という表現がありますよね。お皿とお鉢ですが、この受皿には似たニュアンスがあるような気がします。 |
