Due diligence Explanation: Since this seems to refer to a specific process identifying unique individuals from existing data, perhaps "due diligence" might fit? Or "verification process"? |

(be) disambiguated Explanation: "To date, methods used to disambiguate inventors in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) database have been rule- and threshold-based (requiring and leveraging expert knowledge) or semi-supervised algorithms trained on statistically generated artificial labels." http://www.cmu.edu/epp/disambiguation/ |

Profile building Explanation: I don't know if there is an official term for it, but having read about what 名寄せ is, this seems like a reasonable translation. I also like 'profile aggregation', but I think that is a bit ambiguous, so 'Profile building' seems good. I don't know that the English term needs to be super precise though, since the Japanese word isn't exactly explicit in it's meaning either. |

search criteria Explanation: don't know if this will answer but might be able to shed some light. the 名寄せ処理in this sentence is used to express the credibility of the data for foreign patent holders. it seems as for the Japanese name patent holders, the team has done some time of data reconciliation to confirm the data is correct. so in other words they wanted to say that the due diligence has been done for the Japanese names but not done for this one. I know, they should of just wrote it that way. But that's the beauty of Japanese Literature where you can hide your flaw's by covering it up with language. |
