全銀 vs. 全銀協 they are the same Explanation: As far as i can tell 全銀 is a further abbreviation of 全銀協. See the referenced URLs where two different companies are are using the references interchangeably. again. Using 全銀 and then later using 全銀協 for the exact same meaning. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2005-08-17 05:04:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As far as I can tell this is due to a desire of Japanese to shorten words to 2 syllables or less. It¥'s a lot easier to say ¥"zengin¥" than ¥"zenginkyou¥". Also, ¥"zenginkyou¥" is in such common usage, it¥'s likely that it is hardly considered to be an abbreviation.
