This turns up several hits on Google but I'm wondering if it's just a typo for 日次バックアップ. (daily backup)

Can anybody please confirm whether this is a real term, and if so, is there a teiyaku?

I may be wrong but I have never heard this term.
I think you are correct that this is a wrong Kanji. If it is not a mistake, than it could mean "daily and hourly backups" ...?

agree  Elisha Nixon: I too believe that it could possibly be for day/hourly back up. How else have you seen it being used?

agree  casey: I agree. Check out http://www.secomtrust.net/service/datacenter/advanf.html they have both 日時 and 日次 listed in the same section of a chart. I think it must just be a typo.
