English translation: on my subconscious level

Japanese term or phrase: 無自覚な部分
In an interview, a video game developer is answering a question about how his game was difficult to classify as "hardcore" or "for the mass market." He feels constrained by the categories and notes, 「マスとかコアのボーダーラインが、無自覚な部分で無いのかもしれないです。」

I know, obviously, what 無自覚 in general means, but I'm having trouble understanding it in this context. Does it mean that the developer guesses the border between mass-market and hardcore can't be taken lightly or ignored (and has to be addressed consciously)?

Thank you in advance for any help.

English translation:on my subconscious level
Explanation:
I think 部分 refers to his mind.
What he's trying to say is that there may be no borderline on his subconscious level.

Explanation:
I think as it's talking about a borderline I'd go with "blurred" in this instance or maybe "blind spot".
