Japanese term or phrase: 金1000円
I am translating a 'Certificate of Complete Historical Records' of a company, in which one field is 資本金の額: 金1000円.
I have translated 資本金の額 as Amount of Stated Capital, but not sure about handling '金' of 金1000円. A sincere request to help me and thanks in advance.

English translation:1000 yen
Explanation:
It doesn't really mean anything, it's just usually there in documents to prevent people from adding additional digits before the 1000 and making it, say, 11000 yen.

agree  Carl Freire: Agree 95%. Other 5% is curious about the year for which 金1000円 was used (cf. gold standard vs. USD or other standard). I suspect Marco is correct, but still it is the kind of thing that makes the historian-me wonder a little.

Capital amount: 1000 yens

Explanation:
Around Meiji era, and earlier, the most important currency was in gold.
of course for company settlement, capital was in gold figures, this is the reason why you have: 金1000円. or gold 1000yens.
