Potresti dirmi per favore se secondo voi il termine "impermeabile" indica che un oggetto può essere immerso sott'acqua o se invece significa che l'oggetto è resistente agli agenti atmosferici o alle intemperie? Una video camera impremeabile indica secondo voi una videocamera che può essere immersa in acqua o resistente alle intemperie?

Relativamente alle video camere, molto spesso si dice "impermeabile" quando possono essere immerse e viene precisata la profondità massima entro la quale è garantita l'impermeabilità. Ma è sempre meglio leggere molto bene il dettaglio delle caratteristiche tecniche.
Per dire che possono essere immerse in modo inequivocabile c'è anche il termine "subacqueo".

agree  Assiolo: Ottimi link. Morale della favola: in italiano, "impermeabile" è solo "che non fa passare fluidi". In quali condizioni, con quale grado di tenuta, dipende dai settori e prodotti, e anche negli ambiti tecnici c'è discrepanza tra il dichiarato e l'effettivo.
