Italian term or phrase: fungere da
I need some help from Italian translators and native Italian speakers. The following sentence concerns a business conference, and is written on the itinerary:

"L’ultima sessione fungerà da ricapitolazione di tutti gli elementi trattati in modo da fornire il quadro completo del..."

I would like just to know if the Italian grammar is correct and if it is easily understandable by native Italian speakers.

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Selected answer:servire a
Explanation:
yes, that is correct and understandable, although I'd go with something a bit simpler, such as "servirà a ricapitolare" or even "nell'ultima lezione si ricapitoleranno"
