Este un tip de contract bancar, am gasit definitia in italiana:

"Lo sconto bancario è l'perazione con la quale la banca anticipa al cliente un credito non ancora giunto a maturazione, chiedendo in garanzia il deposito del titolo da cui tale credito emerge (per esempio una cambiale).
La banca quindi acquista crediti dai propri clienti. Il prezzo di acquisto è inferiore a quello nominale del credito di quale punto percentuale prendendo a riferimento il tasso di sconto.
La banca non anticipa l'intero importo del credito, bensì una somma inferiore, trattenendo presso di sé una quota pari al tasso di sconto cioè il tasso di interesse praticato su tale operazione."
