Le lingue retoromanze sono un raggruppamento di lingue neolatine unite da strette affinità e parlate da circa 700 000 − 900 000 persone nella parte centro-orientale dell'arco alpino. Le lingue riconosciute che ne fanno parte sono il romancio, il ladino ed il friulano; nel complesso queste tre lingue costituiscono l'intero gruppo.

Als rätoromanisch – manchmal auch alpenromanisch – wird eine Gruppe romanischer Sprachen in der Schweiz und Italien bezeichnet, nämlich Bündnerromanisch (im Schweizer Kanton Graubünden), Dolomitenladinisch (im Dolomitengebiet) und Friaulisch (in Friaul).
