ausgestellt als stempelfreies Dokument - das ist zwar genau genommen die Übersetzung für "carta libera", doch ohne Stemplegebühr und somit ohne Stempel ist das Dokument ja schließlich stempelfrei.

Ich habe noch einmal darüber nachgedacht - stempelfrei ist vielleicht doch nicht ganz korrekt, denn es können sich ja auch andere als der Gebührenstempel auf dem Dokument befinden; somit schlage ich die wörtlichere Übersetzung "ausgestellt ohne Stempelsteuer" vor.
