Italian term or phrase: uscita alta
Please forgive these many questions about football, which must seem silly to those born in the UK. I'm an American who acquired his "soccer" culture in Italy, so I never learned the terms in English.

Here's the context:

Bravo nelle uscite alte e con i piedi, reattivo tra i pali, è il terzo portiere della Fiorentina.

I translated the first part as "Skilled in coming out high...". Does that sound OK?

Thanks.

on crosses
Explanation:
'uscita alta' means claiming a cross in the air. The normal terminology for this is "good on crosses" (or perhaps "good at handling crosses") or "good in the air"

Well I'm not 100% sure, but if you search for videos of "uscite alte" on Youtube, you get lots of videos of keepers catching crosses...

Asker:

Asker: I thought "uscita alta" means coming way out of the goal area, "alta" with respect to one's own playing side. Is that completely wrong?
