it's our secret game I have ruined

Explanation:
Here are a few more suggestions, basically I am just rephrasing and offering different solutions:

I have ruined our secret game / this secret game of ours / the magic we created (sparked).

Not sure whether present perfect is better than the past, here, I reckon it depends.

I showed my cards too soon/overplayed my hand

Explanation:
I can't see the connection with secret here unless it's a card playing idiom

In which case, here are a few suggestions that just might fit:

I'm convinced I: showed my hand too soon/ overplayed my hand
I've lost the ace up my sleeve
I've lost my trump card
I've lost the best thing I had going for me

neutral  darwilliam: I don't see the connection here between card playing idioms and the Italian one used in the text...

-> It's called 'reading between the lines' and how can you be so sure without more context or having read the book, which i presume you haven't! Note my low confidence: without the additional information the reader is privy to, it's impossible to say...
