travelling stock Explanation: The literal meaning is obvious, but there's no way of knowing what it means in this specific case (unless it's mentioned elsewhere in the document), and it's not your problem. Magazzino can mean stock or warehouse, but I think the former covers most situations. Here's an example where it refers to parts carried by travelling repair staff: Altra problematica è la gestione del magazzino viaggiante inteso come il magazzino utilizzato dal personale tecnico che fornisce assistenza ai clienti in caso di richiesta di interventi di riparazione. http://www.infologis.biz/2009/11/20/la-gestione-ricambi/ And here it refers to stock in transit from suppliers. This is in an accounting context, whereas yours apparently relates to physical transfers: Nella voce rimanenze, oltre a quelle interne allo stabilimento, rientrano le merci in movimento, inevitabili nella catena d'approvvigionamento delle materie prime e soprattutto in quella di distribuzione dei prodotti finiti. Queste merci costituiscono il cosiddetto magazzino viaggiante." http://books.google.com/books?id=o5RQPnqA2oYC&pg=PA51&lpg=PA... |
