Art/Literary - Music / Music Conservatory Diploma
Italian term or phrase: Le giovani scuole nazionali
This is one of the subjects studied within a cultural music course. There is a chronology in the list of subjects, and the one previous to this covered 19th and 20th centuries, from Vivaldi onwards. Now, the next one is

"Le giovani scuole nazionali : Russia, Norvegia, Finlandia, Spagna, Cecoslovacchia, Ungheria, Italia."

I am not sure whether I should use something like "the early schools" here, or is there a common expression for this?

the early established "national schools"

Explanation:
I think the word 'giovani' in this context refers to the age of these types of school, which are commonly known as National Schools during the 19th centuary.
