nota Explanation: non mi risulta che ci sia la norma di scrittura SI. Se intendi invece come si scrivono le abbreviazioni delle unità di misura o come si scrive un numero con l'unità seguente (con spazio fra i due), ecc. nrom of writing....(devi dire che cosa) according to ISO 1000, il cui titolo è "SI units and recommendations for the use of thei multiples and of certain other units" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-18 14:40:57 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Punto 6 Rules for writing units symbols 6.1 Unit symbol shall be printed in roman (upright) type, shall remain unaltered in the plural, shall be written without a final full stop (period) except for normal punctuation, e.g. at the end of a sentence and shall be placed after the complete numerical value in the expression for a quantity, leaving a space between the numerical value and the unit symbol. ... 6.2 When a compound unit is formed by multiplication of two or more units, this should be indicated in one of the following ways: N.m (il punto dovrebbe stare a mezza altezza!) or N m. .... PURTROPPO POCHI SI ATTENGONO A QUESTA REGOLA!!!!! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-18 14:46:29 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Affinché qualcuno non possa correggermi, il testo prosegue dicendo che nel caso si abbia difficoltà, il puntino del x può essere messo in basso (così .) e le due lettere possono essere eventulamente unite (Nm).

Ref: oxford dic. for scientific writers and editors |

SI notation Explanation: is how you express this concept in English!! "Using SI notation the unit of measurement appears at the end of the value." http://www.mitedu.freeserve.co.uk/Prac/SI.htm -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-19 05:18:01 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- PS - Lorenzo, please don\'t use \"SI norm of writing\" - it sounds terrible :-(( The only alternative I can see is \"conventions for SI notation\" |
