Medical - Medical (general) / PET-CT scan
Italian term or phrase: ripresa di
This is from a whole body PET-CT scan report:

"Milza diffusamente ipercaptante in assenza di aree di netta focalità. Diffusa captazione a livello dello scheletro come da attivazione osteomidollare alla terapia. Negativi i restanti distretti anatomici esaminati, incluso l'encefalo, nei limiti di risoluzione della metodica [Non da malattia].

CONCLUSIONI: Quadro PET-TC come da risposta metabolica parziale al trattamento. [Ripresa di malattia]"

The wording in square brackets are handwritten additions to the text. The sentence "risposta metabolica parziale al trattamento" has been crossed out and replaced with "[Ripresa di malattia]".

I'd just like some reassurance as I've seen this translated as "recovery" but also "recurrence" which of course are two very different things. If any Italian natives could give their opinion on the meaning I would be very grateful!
