Italian term or phrase: invito a chiave
Here's the sentence for context:

In caso di azionamento con leva, sul cursore è fissato l'apposito nasello (compreso nel comando); rimuovere il perno (chiave 9) bloccando il cursore mediante l' invito a chiave (chiave 7).

I've never seen this expression. Could it involve inserting the wrench into a slot to lock the spool into position?

Thanks.

keyed hole
Explanation:
Hi Daniel,
Methinks a hole with a key, D or spline so whatever its locking can't turn.

See
Best way to make keyed hole(D shape)
I'm sure everyone has seen the D shaped hole that stops rotation on many types of panel mount

You'll see several options here depending on the type of key used but if you don't know which I'd just go for "keyed" which means there's something in the hole that stops the pin rotating in what it's holding like a woodruff key on a crankshaft.
