Italian term or phrase: sormonta
I am confused. I think the word "sormonta" in the following contexts is a NOUN. But I can only seem to find the meaning as a verb (sormontare), like overcome, wihch doesn't make much sense. Can anybody help me please? How would you translate "sormonta" into English?

Idoneo per sigillature sottoposte a piccoli movimenti, convogliatori d’aria, SORMONTA di lamiere nei containers e nei serramenti.
Utilizzato anche per i settori: automobilistico, ferroviario, e nautico.

neutral  Lara Barnett: This sounds like a description rather than a technical/industrially used noun. "An overlap.." sounds a bit non-technical.

agree  Lara Barnett: "sealant" I also read this as a noun, and these products are described on google as sealants - with an "a".
