Italian term or phrase: cuscini in falda
From a list of processes offered by a company producing products for the furniture industry: "cucitura di cuscini in falda". Any ideas for the "cuscini in falda"? Many thanks in advance.

(sewing) cushions/pillows using interfacing

Explanation:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interfacing
Interfacing is a textile used on the unseen or "wrong" side of fabrics to make an area of a garment more rigid.
Interfacings can be used to:[1]
• stiffen or add body to fabric, such as the interfacing used in shirt collars
• strengthen a certain area of the fabric, for instance where buttonholes will be sewn
• keep fabrics from stretching out of shape, particularly knit fabrics

Cut two 17'' squares of fabric and two 16" squares of interfacing. I'm using interfacing to give a little strength and body to my cushion covers.

This is IMHO. HIH

Asker: Many thanks, but after consulting further with the client, I was informed that "in falda" meant simply "polyester". What can I say!
