It happens often that my KudoZ questions are changed from PRO to non-PRO and although I say nothing I always desagree. First of all because if even professional colleagues find it hard to come up with 100% sure translations then it means my questions seem easy but they are not: never underestimate the challanges of apparently easy translations. Secondly, I know my experience and if I choose PRO there must be a reason. But still, I let everyone express their opinion (even this kind of changes) and make my decision in the end ...

This is highly technical terminology as used in the EU General Data Protection Directive. The alternative "treatment" would be totally wrong.The only way to translate this is by referencing the directive. And then the normal term for "data processing" in Italian is not "trattamenti dati", but "elaborazione dati". Absolutely no idea how this can be non pro. Totally ridiculous.
