Italian to English translations [PRO]
Social Sciences - History / Historical text on Doberdò
Italian term or phrase: La corona d\'Ungheria
Context: La corona d'Ungheria, un tempo componente di spicco dell'impero asburgico, ora appariva come un piccolo paese, mutilato dei due terzi del suo territorio.

I did a little research and from this I understand that in the town of Doberdò, a crown has been laid to commemorate the lives of the Hungarian soldiers lost in the Karst region.
However, having said that, here, in this context, it seems that the "corona d'Ungheria" refers to an area...."un piccolo paese" - in this case, I don't believe that it could still be translated as the "Hungarian crown".. any further suggestions?
Thanks in advance
