Peach cultivars. I'm not clear on spicca and semispicca
Questa e altre cultivar di pesco costituite dal Martinis (denominate in modo collettivo “varietà isontine”) hanno svolto un ruolo determinante nello sviluppo dell’agricoltura nelle aree vocate alla peschicoltura della pianura friulana (Zandigiacomo, 2000). Questa varietà di pesco è coltivata da molti decenni in varie zone del Friuli Venezia Giulia, anche se nel corso degli ultimi anni la coltivazione ha subito una forte riduzione dovuta principalmente alla diffusione di nuove varietà. Viene tuttora coltivata per diverse caratteristiche positive, quali: abbondanza e costanza di produzione, polpa bianca variegata di rosso in prossimità del nocciolo, fondente, spicca o semispicca, caratteristiche estetiche (pezzatura media, intensa colorazione rossa dei frutti) e organolettiche buone.
