cap Explanation: From the exploded diagram on the link below, following Shera's link, this appears to be a protective rubber cap over the positive terminal on the starter motor solenoid. Various terms could adequately translate pipetta, but as a long time amateur mechanic 'cap' is what comes to mind. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 hrs (2011-10-26 05:30:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Another term might be 'boot', as a cover that slips over something to protect it.
