die cut/hollow punch Explanation: The term comes from the leather (fashion) industry and has been subsequently applied (with great force) to metal, paper and so on. It is most commonly used to make all kinds of regular and irregular designs, in particular rounded shapes. My business card, which I designed, has nicely rounded corners, which were obtained by using a "fustella", a die cut, after the printing process. Example sentence(s):
