All praise and thanks be to Allah, the One True Almighty God Explanation: Ungkapan atau ajakan bersyukur Muslim Indonesia, umumnya sebagai pembuka sambutan atau pidato/tulisan pendahuluan. Struktur memadukan frase yang lazim digunakan untuk 'puji syukur', dan diksi sedapat mungkin mendekati teks sumber http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=1780454 I too would use 'praise' as an uncountable rather than 'praises' If you are wondering about the 'be' instead of 'are' or 'is', this is a good example of the subjunctive in English. ... The topic sentence "All praise be to Allah" does not express a fact, it is saying that one should praise Allah to the highest degree. It's an instruction or a desire that something should be done. That is why the subjunctive is used, because that is one of its purposes. http://islam.about.com/od/godallah/a/god.htm http://allah.org/ |
