Ez egy "brief", azaz összefoglaló joganyag, irat. Szerencsénkre mind brit, mind amerikai angolban ezt használják. Számtalan példát lehet rá találni a hálón is. Például: "In the Statement of Facts, however, we are not allowed to argue explicitly. So what do we do? We argue implicitly. (...) We can do the same thing in a Statement of Facts. Én nem említettem sem "historical"t, sem "review"t. Az áttekintés "brief" lenne, de ez nem használt az adott dokumentum címében. Ha elengedhetetlenül fontosnak ítéled a "történeti" jelző pontos megfeleltetését, akkor én a *chronological* használatát javaslom, mert véleményem szerint itt pontosan erre utal a magyar "történeti" szó, azaz a tények felsorolása *időrendben*. Ha beleolvasol az első referenciába, láthatod, hogy az pontosan ezt tartalmazza; 37 oldalon keresztül sorolja fel időrendi sorrendben az eset történéseit / tényeit. Véleményem szerint itt ez a "történeti" jelentése. Angol olvasó számára a "historical" beszúrása félrevezető lenne. Mint említettem az elején, angol jogi dokumentációban az ilyen áttekintéseket "Statement of Facts" címen adják ki, így - hogy ne legyen fordításízű a dolog - a szó szerinti megfeleltetést én kerülném. Ez csak javaslat persze, nem szentírás. :) |
