"Ebben a kérdésben nem szabad engednünk egy tapodtat sem."

Találtam egy olyat, hogy "I'll not stir a foot", abban legalább benne van a láb - de hátha van még jobb :)
Itt kifejezetten a meghátrálásról és annak tagadásáról van ugyanis szó, mert olyan kifejezést is hallottam már, hogy "egy tapodtat se lépek érte", "tapodtat se lép előre", és az itt nem lenne jó.

agree  JANOS SAMU: A "budge" a legjobb. Kár volt felhígítani a választ a többi variációval. Sokkal szebb a válasz, amikor a válaszadó ki meri választani, hogy ő melyiket tartja a legjobbnak. Úgysem lehet minden szinonímát megadni.
