the riverbed gets/is shallower on the inside of a bend Explanation: The Hungarian sounds slightly different, but in fact is merely more precise than the English. You can see on the diagram how there is some kind of convection going on here. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2007-03-28 18:30:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- also " the inside of the bend silts up" or "the inside of the bend gets filled in/fills in as the outside gets deeper", stb.
