Hungarian term or phrase: Azt a rézfánfütyülődet!
Elképzelésem sincs, hogy az angolban mi lehet ennek a kifejezésnek a megfelelője. (időpont 1917.). Minden ötletet örömmel fogadok! Köszönöm előre is.

Explanation:
Well lots of options here.

Linguists call phrases like "Azt a rézfánfütyülődet" "minced oaths" - that is, they are altered versions of other oaths considered blasphemous.

Fortunately for your purposes, most of these minced oaths in English are archaic because there was more shame about oaths in the past. I think the "Jehosophat" one fits your period.

You will find others on this list (British, but many of these are AE too) http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/minced-oath.html

agree  Andras Kovacs: Nem rossz, de jó lehet még a "Ah, for crying out loud!!" is. Nekem a magyar verzió nem hangzik olyan viccesnek, mint a "Jumping Jehosaphat", de nem is baj. Most jutott még eszembe a "Son of a god", amit a son of a b**ch helyett mondanak. Ja igen, "gun".

-> Így van, de szerintem fontos, hogy picit elmosolyogtató is legyen, mint amilyen a magyar verzió. Vagy nem az? // Ja, ez "son of a gun" lenne vlszleg - de kevésbe a Balázs korszakához köthetöö.

agree  juvera: I like that!
