Hungarian term or phrase: vágykép (vágyképek sora)
"Ráadásul ez a történet túl kerek, túl kiegyensúlyozott; nincs benne semmi a szerelmi szakasz érzelmi hullámzásából. A házi boldogságról alkotott ideálnak tűnik; vágyképek sorának, amelyek mögött nem állnak a szerelmi résznél kitapintható élménytöredékek."

English translation:set of abstract desires
Explanation:
Tetszik az Éva kifejező megoldása, de ez is lehet egy alternatíva.
Az adott kontextusban jól működhet a szerelem tapinthatóságának ellentéteként.

... a mere set of abstract desires which is not underpinned by fragments of palpable experiences of love.

vágyképek
images of desire

Explanation:

Sociologist Stephen Pfohl writes the following: "The last thing that happened to me was a memory. Flash. Snap. Crack(le). Pop. I was watching television when suddenly I was recalled, taken by a sensational image of a desire to return to a time that never existed. Where does this image of desire come from? Where is it taking me? Where is it taking others?" (6). Combining the works of Baudrillard and Pfohl I am left wondering not only where does desire come from, but do images of desire actually spark our lives? This raises two pertinent questions: 1) as previously stated, we have a collective remembrance of images; therefore, to what extent are desires universal within any given historical time and geographic location, and, 2) who constructs those omnipresent images of desire? To what extent do media conglomerates, advertisers and politicians serve as mediators in our consciousness? I desire an answer to the following question: why is it that I drink diet coke? To quench a thirst or multiple thirsts? When I desire a cold diet coke, what might I gain from satisfying that craving?

agree  Jim Tucker (X): "set of abstract desires" works well; for the rest of the sentence I have proposed a more streamlined solution.

tantalizing images

Explanation:
I'm wandering away from the Hungarian a bit but I think is basically what is meant: "Domestic bliss appears as an artificial ideal, a series of tantalizing images behind which..."

I meant to write "I think THIS is basically what is meant"

Or, straying still farther from the Hungarian:
"Wedded bliss is depicted as an artificial ideal, a row of pretty pictures behind which no particle of the real-life experience of love is to be found."
