there are two types of "kal"

Explanation:
the word used to say yesterday and tomorrow are the same - kal.

So, "there are two types of kal, one is yesterday and one is tomorrow"

And may I add, you can usually figure out which one it is from the context, mainly the tense.

  -> many thanks,

agree  Rajan Chopra: Hindi is a very rich language but sometimes I wonder why it has not coined different words for "yesterday" and "tomorrow". Of course, we can arrive at the applicable meaning by reading or listening to the whole sentence.

disagree  Md Abu Alam: How can you write this? Is "kal" an English word?

  -> You and I are fully aware that it isn't - but that shouldn't stop us from using it when no suitable English substitute is available. I have also placed it in inverted commas so it's quite obvious that it's a foreign word. Thanks for letting me clarify.

The other day can be of two types.

Explanation:
The Hindi expression can't be translated exactly in to English. But, I think "The other day can be of two types. " can serve the purpose.
