Hindi term or phrase: open sale item
I'm translating from English to Greek a text that is itself a translation from Hindi to English.

In reference to a family argument, someone says:

What could I have done? It's an open sale item.

The phrase seems to be entirely out of context, and I was wondering whether this might be some Hindi idiom that has been erroneously literally translated and lost its meaning altogether.

Any thoughts?

Please provide your answers in English, since Hindi is to me like Greek to you.

Thanks.
