month according to the hindu calendar and food prepared

Explanation:
month of Winter... (Marg_shirsh / Poush) possibly the month that falls during end of DEC to Beginning of Jan according to the Hindu calendar. Sesamum is sesame, bajari is the name of a grain from which the bread (Bhakari) is prepared with sesame seeds on top... Not so sure about Jaugary....
It could be a slang for Jwari or Jawari, another grain just like bajari. Or, could be Jaggery (local name Gool or, Gud) meaning raw brown sugar chunks.
All these are traditional menu items prepared in the winter months alongwith Eggplant sabji and pure ghee (purified butter). These foods are considered to be better choices to bring warmth into your body in the winter months for vegetarians due to high Fat/Carb content. End of Dhundhur Mas is marked by the solstice (referred as Sankrant or, Makar Sankrant in sanskrit)
