Reference: The root דש"ן Reference information: Hello Daniel I haven't submitted an answer as I can't come up with a good translation. I have found the following page though, which is a very detailed discussion of the root דש"ן. http://hebrew-academy.huji.ac.il/melia_veadot/22feb2011/Page... I've only skimmed it, but it seems to suggest that: קומפוסט = דשן קומפוסטר = מדשנה קומפוסטציה = הדשנה Although there also seems to be differences of opinion, but the overall gist is "composter = madshena"..... ...which would give something like "composter seal/gasket", but I can find no such device, especially in the context of rail transport mechanics. However, I'm documenting it here so that perhaps it might help you find something better, maybe stumble upon something that induces a Eureka! moment. |
